FORMENTERA! is proud to present.

THE CANADIAN DEBUT of

ORJAN NILSEN!!!! #49 DJ Mag

Coming off what can only be described as an unforgettable 2011 OrjanNilsen hardly needs any introduction – his first artist album "In My Opinion" has received much praise and so has single-releases like Between The Rays, The Mule, Viking, Atchoo, Lucky Strike & Legions. This Norwegian prodigy seems to be going at a crazy pace in the studio recently, and collaborations with Armin van Buuren, Leon Bolier and others are in the works proving that OrjanNilsen has no intention of slowing down just yet.
Born in 1982 – OrjanNilsen grew up well north of the polar circle far away from most things, and yet he seems to have become a world phenomenon both in the studio and on the decks, having played in Hawaii, Los Angeles, Moscow, Amsterdam, London and Sydney – yet there is still a huge demand for his unique infectious blend of chunky energetic tracks, it is simply impossible to put him in a box.
Orjan Nilsen’s flair for hard work and catchy melodies has given him a strong back-catalogue consisting of tunes like La Guitarra, So Long Radio, Lovers Lane as well as numerous remixes, which has all been supported by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, Cosmic Gate, Above & Beyond and many others. This goes to show that Orjan Nilsen in many ways is in high demand at the moment.
2012 has already got some great performances in the calendar, with events being added on a weekly basis this proves to be an even more intense year than 2011 – Orjan Nilsen is also very happy to have been nominated for an IDMA in the category "Best Break-through DJ" and would like to thank each and every one that has attended one of his performances for the last 12 months for making it such an amazing year.

HEATBEAT

Just four short years ago, a DJ/Producer duo named Heatbeat was born out of the ranks of Argentina.
But, within such a short time of coming together, the world wouldn’t be ready for the shockwaves created by the pair’s cutting-edge productions and fresh, live DJ performances. Their versatility spans to include both their newest tracks as well as mash-ups and bootlegs of current hits, which they concoct in their studio during extensive, pre-set preparation. Backed by long-standing experience with traditional instruments like the piano, guitar and drums, today, their résumé of international acclaim and support is longer than most would care to read. One would only need to look in the proverbial record bins of the world’s top DJs to find their “big-room” tracks waiting for the next packed venue, like the hunter waiting to spring on his prey. DJs like Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Markus Schulz, and Ferry Corsten, among many others, are no strangers to playing Heatbeat’s tunes day in and day out. Now, these young-bloods from Buenos Aires, Agustin Servente being only 23, and Matias Faint, 24, have set their fervent sights to only one .. Greatness. “[They] bring together influences from various genres in the form of a very explosive cocktail mix.” Working on Armin van buuren’s label “Armada” , Heatbeat are one of the most based trance duos in the scene. With their records receiving tremendous support from the largest names and labels in electronic music, and a world- wide, debut tour on the brink, these young guys are on track to being the next big thing out of the southern hemisphere. Already Playing in the hottest places in the world such as Ibiza, Miami, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Brazil, Northen Ireland, El Salvador, Peru to name a few. So, if staying ahead of the curve is part of your game, keep a steady eye on Heatbeat. Argentina.
