Well.. Rather than going with the MX try to find a GTS or PRO.. I had one and it was great.. I sold it though, extremely cheap $35usd.. and it was an Asus board too

If you have a few extra bucks.. get a Radeon 8500.. I have one and it works perfectly, no driver problems like everyone says.. Don't get it if you have an older computer though.. Your CPU will hold the card back..

um well MX cards tend to be lower priced, but generally they are not great for serious gaming... u should be able to find a radeon 8500 or geoforce 3 ti 200 for not that much and they should be significantly better... www.pricewatch.com

Dude try to buy the best possible card you can afford!

The problem with video cards is they get outdated very fast and all the new and cool games use lots of VPU power so my advice is at least go for a GeForce 3 or ATI 8500 so you can play the new games coming out.

i just got a geforce4 4200 with tv out for 145 bucks no shipping at newegg.com

i wouldnt buy an mx... its like buying a celeron versus a pentium. youd be better off getting a regular geforce3 over a geforce2 mx, if you dont want to spend much

MX anything is crap! You'd be better off with a GeForce 3 Ti200 - they have good performance and are reasonably priced.

yeah, gotta agree

...if it's for gaming...forget wasting ur money on a mx

had a gf4 ti4200 for a couple of months now & gotta say it's the best money i've spent on my computer full-stop!

sure i paid the same amount as almost 160g of hard drive space, but the perfomance increase in games has been more than imagined

definitely 3d gaming will benefit heaps, for example...gf4 ti4200 running on duron 800 runs about the same fps as my friend's gf2 ti500 on p4 1.8

GeForce is a good way to go, coz it supports the new UT2003 engine, check b4 u buy any card that it suports / handles the ut2003 engine, coz more games are gonna be based on that and some of the effects and power needed cannot be handled by a lot of graphics cards...

...including my Nvidida Riva TNT 2
