I find that sometimes that a track will be enhanced a lot for me by a sound or element that isn't necessarily a big, central part of the track. It might not be one of the "main" sounds but for some reason it adds a bunch to my enjoyment of the track. One of my favorite examples is the high offbeat sound that comes in around 3:45 in Paragliders - "Change Me":

One that comes to mind, being I just woke up like 15 minutes ago.

From the video edit of "Blu mar ten - believe" there is a tiny vocal clip that imo really, really adds a lot to the piece, I love it.

Yes. Most of the tracks I consider my favourites contain certain "side elements" which contribute a vital part to the listining experience. I sometimes enjoy these sounds even mor than the main medlodic element of the track.

It is these little touches that convince me I could never be a musician, because I invariably would never think of them and have no idea why they work so well.

The smallest nuances can be the most memorable in a track. I'm not sure what triggers that in the brain, because I agree it can be the best part.

There's something about the quick little laser shot sounds in this recording that give it a huge momentum boost. Element first appears at the 1:38 marker.

love that track Mark. Big fan of depeche mode in general, my older brother was a basically a "superfan", but not crazy. And I very much like the sounds used in that track as well. They're gear heads, and it shows. The laser is only the first envelope of the sound, there is a sound trailing thats part of it(seems like).
