I really don't get why there's so much sound restriction at that venue. I love the venue but they turned down the sound during Mark Farina's set as well. I couldn't hear shit after the party on the other end started.

agreed. This was a really good party. Had to leave early when my 'mates lost a wallet and started wigging out. But this venue is amazing for a summertime event, dennis ferrer's set was great, but I was equally impressed with the local talent as well. Sexy/mature crowd.

the venue owners/staff are really anal about this type of stuff, they don't really care for parties since they mostly use it for corporate events and weddings, they don't want trouble from police because of the sound bylaw after 11pm. At some points they wouldn't sell more than 1 drink to one person at a bar because there were police walking around the venue.

Because the organizers set up a smaller sound system for the local DJs at one end of the space, we were often subjected to the annoying clash of competing beats when standing in line for outhouses, drinks or the bank machine (and, yes, we spent a lot of time in lines). While it may not have been the most smoothly run event at this unique location, Ferrer’s strong set clearly pleased the fans in the front.
