Trillian (IM, http://www.trillian.cc/ ) question: (Involves back up)
How do I back up the contact list, contact alerts (as well as THOSE settings), Preferences/Settings? Also, how do I get the Logs to save as a TXT file instead of an LOG file? Thanks VERY much for those who can answer this! I NEED to back this up.

I would backup the users/default folder as it seems to be the one with all the login and coontakt list info.
You do need to backup you contakt list for icq, as trillan doesn't import them. By backup i mean write em down
But i don't know if that's neserary if you save the default folder.

If you've used ICQ before, there was a feature that allowed you to export the contactlist. Then in Trillian you could import it. Otherwise you have to add them manually.
If you didn't export your contactlist, and if you want to have Trillian installed on more than one computer, you can copy the Buddies.xml file, and overwrite it on the other computer.
BTW, has anyone been able to download the new version, 0.74, already?

Thanks everyone! As far as backing up is concerned, with me, you're right: I have to back up the "default" folder. However, for people who have more than 1 Profile on Trillian, you must back up the folder that's named after your Profile name.
