One of my mates pointed this vid out to me last night and I thought that since in the past 2-3 years there has been so much attention on this guy and the call to bring him here for a gig that I'd bring this video here. I'm just curious and this isn't attacking anyone but is this the sort of behaviour that everyone was making him seem like a legend? Is this the reason that there is such a big deal about him? I'd like to be enlightened on why there is so much fuss surrounding his presence on the decks if it be musically or not.
Personally, having followed his career for quite a while and being well informed back to the days when he played music in british train tunnels for raves of up to 2,000 people, I find him to be a pretty sad story. In my opinion, a grown man acting like this who has a teenage daughter should be ashamed of himself. This is not an attack on his music; although I find his music to be quite outdated and not very unique since it's just a delayed echoe of what other DJ's in that spectrum have already played.
However, I'd like some input on this as it pertains to the first paragraph.

Agreed. Sven's entertainment factor and the crowd he brings out more than compensates for his music being perhaps not the freshest out there.

you're an idiot. This man is legend and has been producing music since the age of 18 in the mid 80s. He can do whatever the bloody hell he wants. He was a figure which made the music what it is today. To say you have no respect for him would be indicative that you have no respect for the music you listen to.

as long as the quality of his set doesn't suffer because of acting like an idiot then fine.

I dont understand why people always associate acting like a baffoon and having kids as if once you have kids you cant have fun... I mean its one thing if he doesnt support his children and he is blowing rails in front of them but thats not my business anyway.

Everything that you seem to find silly I really enjoy..
He is silly behind the decks and engages the crowd with each performance.
The antics of the people combined with Sven make the party.
He may not bring the freshest music to his sets but is very active in keeping a forum open for new artists and sounds.
The Cocoon franchise has done loads for the industry. His party in Ibiza is one of the best and he truly loves the music.
Here is an interview from 2008.. give it a read to see his passion.
I have also read he and his wife welcomed the birth of their son this year.
I think you may take life and the music a little too serious.

I don't know if you're being serious or not because it would be very shameful if you are.
