Myself, John and some friends made it inside Arc at around 1. The vibe was cool, the place wasn't overpacked, and Sven Vath was already spinning. I can't really judge wheather he was playing well or not because I haven't heard him spin in about 2 years. Even though I'm not a huge techno fan I was still able to get into it.

One thing I have to say about Arc is they have tight serurity. Those guys sneak up behind you in undercover clothes and can bust you for almost anything. My friend had Stacker 2s and everytime he took one out, security was hovering over him. John was caught asking for pills and was asked to leave. At least they were nice about it. They even gave him back the pill he was buying. We all left at around 3:30 and missed Richie Hawtin. We all went to Sound Factory afterwards and left at around 6.

Good seeing Greg & Melissa again. Sorry about our abrubt depature. Oh yea, I got a camera inside but was threatened if a flash was seen we would be thrown out immediately.

i had an extremely eventful night. can't detail everything but here are some highlights:

vath wsa kinda boring, not what i expected. it was good but i was hoping he'd spin harder. maybe cause he was so fucked up...
he was on an off through his whole set but he did drop some nice tracks around 4.
hawtin came on hard and continued to kick my ass for about 2 hours. greg said he was leaving as vath was going off but i guess ahwtin's first track changed his mind... hawtin got real mellow after that which turned into boring until about 8:30. the only thing that got me through it was some hard breaks tracks that he dropped around 7. he brught it back up a little around 8:30 to close it out and ended at 9:15 after 3 encores.
the encores were a huge spectacle cause vath came out of the VIP room wearing the cover to his record case on his head, a broken toilet set around his neck and toilet paper and streamers coming out of his nose. it was the most retarded thing i have ever seen. and then he started climbing a pole on the dance floor. tht in itself made closing it out worth it.

to anyone i saw last night - i was feeling incredibly anti-social so please don't think too badly of my poor behavior.

but it was great to see my LI crew - it sucks that you got kicked out. they were being real harsh last night. you gotta be really careful in that place.

kid nyce, tek, and tek's gf (you'll have to tell me how to sp her name) - i can't tell you how cool it was to see you. it was so psyched to get to chlll with you, if only for a little while in my favorite club. we'll def meet up again. and hook me up with your demo...

greg - it was great to meet you. i hope you had fun - you looked really wiped out but atleast you got to hear some good techno. and i have to disagree with you that it was not loud enough cause my ears are still ringing and that has never happened to me at arc before. although it may have something to do with dancing on my speaker for 4 hours.

and to all of you who didn't go - YOU MISSED OUT!!! It was by far New York's best event of the summer. hope i see you nex time.

by far the best fucking crowd i have ever seen in nyc since twilo. BY FAR! keep it bouncing like that nyc and everything will be alright...we left early around 6ish to go back to dj tek's house where somehow we stumbled across some fungus looking things. YUM...then CHAOS....so its been a long drawn out morning/day/night
still havent "REALLY" slept but the trip is definitely gone, so its just me, my bed, my drink, and my tv for the rest of the night...thank god its only 9! YES!

I loved Sven vath. Besides spinning sick techno Sven had this look to him, like he was from the pits of hell! He was the the most hard core German ive ever seen my life. He pumped me up alot bye jummping around and swinging his arms like a dj on drugs . I had a great time chilling with Mellisa, Greg(i like the new hair cut), Kid nyce,and some of mellisa's friends from Cp.

i had a good time at Arc.. Sven Vath surprised me with a very enjoyable techno set.. never checked out Sven before so it was a good experience.. i thought the set was just a little too up and down without constant flow, but it was good, mixing was pretty much flawless and he seemed to be enjoying himself... he spun until 5am and richie came on, he started off with a banging track and continued Sven's energy for about 20 mins! and then he started playing deep dark slow techno tracks and totally killed my mood... i've noticed when he did this, alot of ppl had left...my my friends eventually wanted to leave so i ended up leaving around 6.. Plastikman was a big disappointment for me since he was so fucking dope BOTH times @ Twilo.. @ Arc i dont know what happened.. guess it was one of those nights for him..all good tho, Sven made it up for Richie hehe if Sven sucked as well then i would have been pissed overall i had a good time, looooved that banging techno comin out of Phazon Melissa, always good seeing u your sooo fun to chill with... Drizz good seeing u again(since Ferry Corsten) u seemed to be having fun i hope u enjoyed Arc! well, i will be on the low for a while..

yeah, i had some fun.. my expectations were too high, i was too tired and the club was too crowded.. but heck, it was WORTH it...

and yes, next to the speakers it was loud, i gotta admit that

I was glad to finally meet the US-TA's again, since it has been quite a while (4 months), but i must say that clubbing is certainly different in the US from Germany.. Plus I need to adjust back to not taking anyhting anymore.. well, soon i will not have to drive across half of the us anymore and i will party AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE in NOV/ Dec!!
