Reason has ALOT included (instruments, efex, presets, samples) but unfortunatly the default library presets and sounds arent really up to date soundwise so you'll probably be better of learning how to program synths, and buy/torrent some sample CDs or refills. The instruments in Reason are really good though but the efex are slightly simple/dull (compressors and eqs arent top notch). If you use Reason then id recomend you to use rewire and mix in something else like Reaper or Cubase with top notch compressors and eqs VSTs. The good part is Reason is incredible creative with the "all included" vision, stable as fuck, easy upgradeable project-files with all sounds included. Its just so simple and fun to work with, you can easily make progressive trance with Reason - just get some extra samples or refills and maybe do the mixdown via rewire in another daw. I believe the same goes for FL but i cant really say, its more than 10 years ago i tried it. Cubase to me was a stripped down midi/audio-sequencer and mixing console, demanding VSTs, samples and everything. Its much more "pro" whatever that means, but at the same time you need alot more that just cubase, more effort setting up, backing up projects, unstabile due to VST etc etc. Cubase seems to me that is suited more for people who really work as a musician full time and hates Apple/Mac/Logic. Then theres Logic which is just as profesional as Cubase but with lots of stuff included like instruments, samples and efex, and all of them are quite alot better than Reasons. BUT its also quite complex imo. I couldnt get my head around it. 9 DVDs to install, eating CPU like a mofo etc etc. Too "pro" for me. Thing is though, Logic is very cheap and as i said the instruments and efex are fucking awesome, it has awesome included sample librarys and it does everything u ever need right out of the box to a cheap price. But ull need a mac...
