2013.03.24 [NITE] Markus Schulz & Ferry Corsten @ Mansion

confirmed from Markus on twitter. Markus and Ferry....

Last year the Sunday party with Armin at Mansion was my favorite of the week. I have good hopes for this.

Well that sucks that it's not at Space anymore, Mansion closes at 5. Tunes will be more poppy too.

Exactly. Mansion = Predictable sets and music. Even Armin last year was alright but nothing special.

I guess to each their own, I have high hopes for this event.

there is a reason DJs complain about Space, even over Mansion

the space show was the week before. and still is.

i think Markus's sound is too poppy no matter where he plays. I am almost over him. On new years I listened to what I thought was 5 hours of bad music from 12 to 5. I left before the rabbit hole but no one should have to wait 5 hours for good music

His buildup for himself was still good though. I want to know what happened to the sound he used to have 2009 to 2010. His amnesia solo sets were some of the best open to close bar-none

I'd rather like to know what happened to his sound from 2002-2005.

Who? I've never seen anyone complain about it.

this is a joke, mansion will be a huge cheese fest. Its the weekend of asot, how is he not doing a solo set the weekend where all the trance fans will be coming in. Its going to be such a predictable set. It pisses me off it takes this fucking long to announce this shows while people are trying to book flights down there. Now im stuck with a shit ass b2b with ferry who sucks. I was at tao beach and he brings the set down everytime markus tries to get going. Highly disappointed with this.

Markus, PvD, Sander K.........

Markus requested lots of extra production for WMC last year, he didnt get it...... Its a miracle he is even playing there the first week of WMC.

PvD was tired of space requiring two shows. WMC 2010, and the Cameo / Space terrace debacle. Trust me that wasnt his idea......

Sander K loved being punched in the face by LP... sorry I was mistaken on that one. No harm there.

Doesn't mean they're in the right. LP was in the business of running a club and these DJs that get paid thousands and thousands for a set could be a little "primadonna-ish." Not saying that's what happened but there's always two sides to every story. Sometimes more than 2. And I dunno, I don't want a bunch of extra production at Space...that's what makes that place what it is. SoBe megaclubs are what you want if you wanna see that shit (I like it sometimes too).

And ISOS4 has a great point. Why isn't AvB throwing down solo at a more underground venue at least once during WMC? Shit would be bonkers and would create a lot of buzz. You'd think a DJ of his skill level and notoriety would look to put on at least one serious show during the most famous electronic music event in the world, especially considering the recent buzz in various blogs/magazines about how trance is just a bunch of unicorns and bad bath salts. He's got a chance to try to change that perception and he doesn't.

yeah man i dont understand it, your the number 1 dj in the world for what, 2 hour sets? that doesnt cut it for me im sorry. And i dunno i love space for it being space, dark and dirty. Thats why we love when markus plays there, it gets sinister.
