Holy shit, that's an amazing deal Nothing like that exists over here in Australia |
Its basically one of two *small* telecoms that you can get a deal like that. Canada is overrun by thieving pricks at Bell/Telus (they share towers) & Rogers who own something like 90%+ of the market and charge some of the highest prices in all of the developed nations while offering some of the lowest tiered crap you can imagine. Before this I was paying $110 for 1,000 long distance canadian minutes, 6gb of data, 2,500 text messages, unlimited incoming, 1,000 evening/weekend minutes, 200 daytime minutes and voicemail.... and thats WITHOUT going over. I ditched Rogers soon after. I had to pay a $200 fee to break my contract at the end plus me remaining balance. My final bill with Rogers came out to be around $450.00
I know Australia sucks balls when it comes to telecommunications, its one of the few countries in the world thats as bad as Canada, I think the only others are I think Egypt and Iran.

Indeed.
I pay $60 a month for $600 worth of calls (basically, that's 600 minutes, lol), unlimited domestic texting (international texts cost me 50c each), and 1.5GB of data (no throttling for over-use, that's it). My LTE Galaxy S3 was free though, on a 2 year contract. Thankfully, I'm not a particularly heavy smartphone user.
I will say though, that my coverage is awesome. I can't even remember the last time I couldn't get a signal.
Still, weak as piss.
