personally I havent seen anyone sicker than tiesto @ wintergalactic. maybe a ferry corsten or ArminVB might, but that would be really really hard!

Tijs all the way

I'll agree with you on this thread. Tiesto is teh best i've seen so far.

I've seen Oakenfold, Dave Ralph, Picotto & Timo Maas

i thought picotto was the best until Wintergalactic, the energy that Tiesto put into his set was uncomparable to any other party i've ever been at. his recent livesets have paralleled the perfermance at Wintergalactic as well.

Picotto was really into the crowd tho, he was surprised to see so many people recognize his stuff.

It depends on many things....

When I saw Dave Ralph at Turbo last year, it was
the best trance set I have ever heard.

Picotto blew the roof off of system, as did Danny Howells.

Tiesto's energy was unparellel.

After each set I thought to myself that "wow, that was the best set I've ever heard"....but then I'll see another dj, and say the same thing..hehe

Peace,
Steve

I can easily say that both of these dj's on a good night are the best of their style. They both know how to play for the crowd, and they know how to please. The fact that their styles are so similar, just means you get more trance to dance to.

Hmmm. NO! Tiesto is a big fan of heavy layered melodic dutch trance. Oakie plays very "british-like" (haha whatever that is) clubbier trance. I find anyways. Now just because they have been known to play the same songs in their sets, it doesn't mean they have similar styles. Cuz they don't.

They are both very unique dj's, they play almost their own production shit 60% of the time. I could only compare them on talent and success. It's like comparing your mom and your gf, just because they frequent my room from time to time it doesn't mean they have the same styles. OH MY GOD, I'm soo sorry, totally just teasing ya guy.

TIESTO AND OAKEY 4 LIFE!

Jonathan

rofl. good comparison there. hehehe.

i like tiesto's sets better then oakie's. but they aren't too far apart from each other in terms of energy, for me that is. cause oakie slips in some breakbeat and dark breaks in there every once and a while, and as much as i LOVE that stuff, i don't really want to hear it much at a rave...i dunno.

just my 2 cents.

Read This! Yo...

Well,
I have finally seen both of them live.
Definately Tiesto had a better set than Oakey when i saw them, but at diff. venues.

Tiesto was wintergalactic VS. Oakey at Tonic.

I know you cant compare the 2 diff locations, but jusging by the trackselection I thought that Tiesto was just fucking amazing, i didnt really think Oakey had that good of a set, well i didn't like his track selection.

Tiesto just kept me jumping all night while Oakey started out amazing, but lost me about 3 songs in to the set.

Tiesto has been my fav to date, these are the other guys i saw...
Tiesto
Oakenfold
Graham
PVD
Sasha
Picotto
Maas
Parks & Wilson
Sven Vath
BAd Boy Bill (for u hard house lovers)
Pete Tong
Alex Gold
Emmerson
Dj Dan
Ian Pooley
