im just looking for a durable clear mic for Mcing and Just talking over it. Maybe some singing but that is for the other peeps

Shure might have some good ones. Good prices as well. not looking fro a really expensive one. just for my mobile djing gigs.

I already told ya, if you go Shure, get the SM58. It's one beast of a mic. Sure it costs a little bit (well in fact it's pretty cheap compared to other mics), but you're sure to get a very durable mic for it. There's a reason why it's the standard dynamic mic nowadays.

It's build like a tank and sounds great (especially for mcing).

there's also Sennheiser 835 which is pretty recent but sounds better then sm58s and is cheaper.

but yeah SM58s are indestructible, I own a couple different mics , sennheiser 481s , shure sm 57s, 87s, some AKGs also, and others which I can't think of right now.

sm58 can literraly be thrown to the ground and not break , these things will never die. ( I've never had problems with them while I can't say that about sennheiser mics ( better sound, but more MUCH more fragile ( the cell , and grills are fragile on sennheisers ))

so if you think it won't ever get mishandled, get the 835 from sennheiser, or I say , all go for SM 58 if you know it might go through accidents.

Hmm personally I didn't like the sound of the 835, it lacked some clarity (I have an 855 and that is very clear). All the mics you mentioned are decent, but I suggested the SM58 for it's ruggedness especially. It sounds good, but you gotta think also, if you take the mic on location, with lot's of crowd, anything could happen. And like you said, the SM will take a lot of beating (that's maybe why it's called SM hehe).
