Midi controller UP TO $500
Since I am a piss poor student, My only option is the MIDI route.
I have had a cute little thingy called X-Session Pro for a couple of years now, still love it, but it just doesn't cut it any more as it is very limited creatively.
So I need something new.
It should be a 4 channel controller, and I have set the cutoff price at $500.
Right now I am looking at the N4 as the best option, as it has 4 channels, inputs for external sources(works as a standalone mixer), it is well spaced up and Numark seems to have good customer support lately. The downside is that it's chassis is plastic, which gets on my nerves.
The NS6 would be an absolute dream, but I'm not paying that much.(Student life gets expensive, and I am trying to stay away from student loans as much as possible)
So I would love to get some recommendations if possible.
It definitely must have:
-4 channels
-jogwheels(quality isn't that important because I'll mostly use this solely for beatmatching)
-sound interface
-price not (much) higher than $500
Optional:
-Size matters
-Metal chassis
-Full-size pitch sliders(like the N4)
