Talent for structural composition

Ok. This question is like asking if athletes are naturally born or skillfully created, I am asking this after spinning an hour long session in which I was completely drained of afterwards.
While song composition is amatter of personal taste and talent, knowledge and versatilty, what do you think about those masterfully constructed albums i.e ISOS2, GU13 and the famed Northern Exposures series. Are DJs naturally talented, or do they acquire their set construction skills over time and practice?
