behringer DJX700 problems.

is anyone with this mixer having fader problems? ive had mine for about 3 months and all my upfaders are dodgy allready, whenever i put the volume to full on the upfaders, half the time the whole left channel shorts out and i only have volume on the right speaker output, its totaly fucking up all my mixes, but there is a problem, i brought the mixer online from a shop that is miles away, how the hell do i really take it back? kinda got a problem here. has anyone else had problems with the upfaders?

I dont know if this will fix you're issue or not but have you tried some different master ouput cables?

I bought some HOSA brand cables from guitar center about 1 month ago and my mixer gave me the same symptoms that you are experiencing. For the first 3 1/2 weeks of using the HOSA cables, the master output was fine, but then I lost sound on one of my channels. I have an A&H xone 32 and I bring it to my friends alot so I have to unplug the mixer from my house and then re-plug it back together at my friends house when I go there. Apparently, the cheaper cables work great if you plug them in and leave them plugged in, but if you are constantly unplugging the cables and re-plugging them in alot, the cables go bad fast.

I originally thought it was my mixer as I rarely see cables go bad, but now I know why the cheap cables are so cheap. IT's because the wiring inside the cable where the connector is located is not as sturdy and durable as other cables. Possibly bad solder jobs or something....(as well, cheaper cables have less shielding)

I switched to monster cables because guitar center gives them a lifetime warranty. The monter cables are great. I have not had any probs yet. IF the monster cables go bad, I just bring them back to guitar center at any time, and they will replace them for free.

something to try if you have'nt tried to swap positioning of your cables yet....

Seriously, you should try switching the cables around. I have had problems in the past with mixers cutting out channels or all of the bass on one side and found it to be a bad connector in the output cable.

Even if it turns out to be a problem in the mixer, Behringer gives a 1 year warranty if you sent in the warranty card. Try calling their customer support. I have heard from other posters here that they have great support.

Hi mate . i had the same problems with mine . problems that got gradually worse were channel bleed thru earphones/monitor/ main crossfader , crackling audio thru main channel , main led lights not working on left channel . got so fed up with it i switched to my spare 2 knob / channel mixer . last night i got so pissed off about it i stripped my djx700 and noticed all my channel slides were full of fluf and other airbourne rubbish . found a small atists paint brush and a drinks straw and cleaned out all my channel slides and main crossfader . slapped it back together and made a promise if it still wouldnt work it was getting launched . plugged my pioner cdj's in and then my technics and the rest of my cables , switched it on and presto hey she works like a good un . no crackling , no bleed , no problems and i didnt use any fancy electronic cleaning spray etc . compleate fix for free appart from the 2 hours it took me . roll on saturday night as its getting some shit givin to it .
