Hey everyone, this is my first post here. I've got some Paul Van Dyk live sets that I need help ID'ing... i've had them on CD for years, and they are quite honestly some of my favorite sounds ever created.

One piece, in particular, is what I need help with. To me, this is the peak of trance, and what trance music is all about.

On the cd I was given in 2003, it was just labeled as "Live HR3 Clubnight Pt. 3" or something like that.

Honestly, this music is perfect. I've never heard anybody do anything even remotely close to what this set of music accomplishes. I hope you like it, and I hope some people can help me track down the info on it.

Do you know where I can find a good quality download of it? I'm ripping a bunch of my old CD's right now, and they're so shitty that they're all scratchy.

The Part 2 of this set has my all-time favorite epic build up... its about 68 minutes in, and its basically what all the dubstep people use now, with the rising siren horn thing and then dropping into the gnarliest brutal-happy beat known to man.

here's the other set/part.... I have it labeled on CD as "Live On HR3 Clubnight Part 2"


but it doesn't flow into the Part 3 CD that you just ID'd, so i'm not entirely sure what it is.


The best part here is the last 10 minutes... it hits into a track that is somewhat similar to Sandstorm, with the way the synth is played, and then it drops out into this INSANE INSANE INSANE build that just... its fucking a music orgasm.

The version that you have goes back to Orinoko - Island at around 33 minutes and starts again, could've been a bad burn/rip. That's probably why it didn't flow into part three.

I feel like the version in the PVD set is a little faster... could be a beat-match thing he did live?

just did a comparison.... the PVD version is faster/higher pitched than a version i found on youtube.

I like the faster version better. The original is too slow... the build doesn't hit nearly as hard.
