ummmmm, im sorry but i cant help you out with links.. but, if you try doing searches on paul oakenfold, danny rampling, the hacienda club in manchester england, and the 'back to basics' club in leeds england. perhaps that will get you started. Also try searches for : acid house and acid partys.

In england, im not 100% sure of the order of this happning...but....

in 1987, there was a club in manchester england, called the hacienda, now this was a club unlike modern day clubs. all sorts of people from all different backgrounds i.e. students, office clerks...etc... would go to this club, a sort of underground type club, a place to go and forget all the troubles of the week.. to go and let your hair down, and party away all the stresses of the week.
And for a few hours on a weekend, people would take their drugs dance the night away, and 'unite' with the rest of the crowd. people didnt care, because they were there to have a good time!.
At the hacienda they played detroit house and house music, featuring tracks by artists like 'beatmasters',Raze, marshall jefferson, bomb the bass.

Things really started to kick off after 4 guys went on a clubbing trip to ibiza, Paul oakenfold, danny rampling, (i think) nick warren, and sumone else from 808 state (i think!). And on theeir return to england, they decided to bring back a flavour of ibiza and start the craze in england.
Danny rampling started his own club in london, i cant rmember the name of it, but it was an acid house club, playing tunes like stakker - humanoid, westbam - monkey see, monkey do.
paul oakenfold started off his djing / producing. and basically it went from there.
After a few years, the police started to clamp down on the clubs, due to drug usage in them. and so Illegal raves began to appear, in large fields in secluded areas around england. Large fields full of 'go-easy' people just after a good time, taking a few drugs and listening to liberating music, and listening to dj's and acts like.... altern8, orbital, 808 state...... this was the beginning of the rave era.... the music had changed slightly, instead of chilled out soulful house, the new 'acid partys' which played 'breakbeat old skool rave' had taken charge. People high on whatever drugs they had taken, would jump around and shock out in whatever way they saw fit, to have a good time.
The police eventually put a stop to this, enforcing new laws, which led to the fully organised indoor rave partys. and at this point, music had made a split... from breakbeat, drum and bass (jungle), and breakbeat hardcore were born. The drum and bass led to be a more of an underground style commonly for black and coloured ravers. the breakbeat hardcore soon turned into what is now known as Happy Hardcore. This is about at 93 - 94 time.

Over the next 3-4 years jungle spawned new deeper 'ruffer' styles and also intelligent drum and bass ( a sort of chilled out jungle) and happy hardcore grew and spawned various other genre's such as bouncey techno, and uk hard techno.

at about 94 - 95 time, the rave scene was perfect, mainstream clubs were packed full of ravers. And DJ's like Mark e.g, and M-Zone were playing a new style... a style quite literally for the mind, body and soul!!>.... this style was trance, from germany, fast paced mind altering, mind-journey music, filled with energy. one of the main trance labels at the time was UK44 which was M-Zones own label.

around 95 sort of time, newer DJ names where seen on flyers..... these DJ's were International DJ's.. dj's from other countries. Atlast, the whole world club scene seemed to come together.

Whilst the house music scene was still in effect, but less enjoyed, along form the drum and bass / black music scene, came Garage music.

By 96, trance was starting to be recognised and go slightly mainstream, with international producers, proding more and more high quality feel good trance tunes. uncommercialised... trance stayed fairly underground or not well publicised until about 98-99 when tunes like system f - out of the blue, and gouryella - gouryella, william orbit - barbers adaggio for strings. Tracks like these made sure to break thru into the music industry, giving trance recognition, but not totally selling out and going completely commercial. which takes us right up to present day...... which aint a lot different from the beginnig of it......... NORMAL PEOPLE, GOING OUT TO A CLUB AT A WEEKEND TAKE A FEW DRUGS, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC THAT YOU LOVE, WITH THE PEOPLE THAT YOU LOVE, AND TO UNITE WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS YOU. AND THE POLICE ARE STILL TRYING TO CLOSE DOWN CLUBS!!! WELL 15 YEARS OF FIGHTING AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG!
FUCK THE POLICE, FUCK THE POLICE, FUCK THE POLICE, FUCK THE POLICE!

right, there ya go sir..... hope you get an A for it!, or atleast i should! lol

oh, and by the way... clubbing in the future.. i think it will never change.. commercially maybe... but there are still clubs now like there were in the early 90's etc.... so i think it will never completely change.. newer forms of music attracting different crowds of clubbers / ravers, just looking for a good time
peace.
