Transa Review - 09/27/02

Well IMHO I thought this party really sucked! Although managed to bump into many TA's you know who you are! (and no I did not forget the names I am just too damn tired to try and think of all of the names) all in all there were about 10 of you or so!

Saint Pete = hmm??? I don't even wanna start with this dude but I will! I can described most of his set in one word! "Hands in the Air Cheese" a.k.a. "Cheese on Bollocks"!!!
That's right how does a DJ go from strictly playing progressive to epic trance? I know the answer! "money" and I know your whole story, cause I talked to one of the fellow TA's about you and he told me that you are all about money and nothing else!

"4 Clubbers - Children"??? please! and WTF was that "SOS" tune? blah...... I am not gonna even comment anything else about this dude!

Transa = "Cheese on Bollocks"!!! Live P.A. my ASS it was! It was all played from the HD they had sitting there in the middle! One of them would constantly walk away to take pictures? Another one stood there for 2 songs straight and did not press one single god damn key on the keyboard right beside him. And what was with the electricity transformers? Are the promoters just too slow to even have them? Is Transa also too dumb to even bring some with them? And I thought we were suposed to have 2 hours of this so called "Live P.A."???????????
While it was only one???

Jason Marshal & Prophecy = I know that you guys are the promoters for this and I am not really bashing you as you guys had a really nice set afterwards the whole thing but I thought this party was just full of B.S. Although droping "Dulce Vita" right before I left put me in the good mood!

P.S. Oh and was it just me or was this like an all ages event? Even though it should not have? Way too many candy ravers, way too many young looking faces...... We need a nice mixture to have a good vibe.

My review the whole event was pure CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crowd friendly but too many young faces like 15 and 16 years old but it was an 19 plus event and not enough hot looking girls
Can't wait till real name tilents like Sasha and Seaman will come to town, but not some fake ass Djs/Producers......

btw, trancearmada and E*Master it was nice stilling the Transas crowd from them lol

it was nice seeing TatGirl, boyTrance, trancekitten, durafei and others...

thx for the adapter tatgirl...

Well I had fun

The music could have been better but trance is dead in toronto right? it is everywhere else.

My fun was due to the people, It was so nice to see all the familiars there. Thought I didn't notice all the youngins. they must have come in after 2am. I too drunk to notice anyway.

The "live" PA could have been live-er and livelier at that. But it was worth my 15 bucks to hear behind the sun.

As for St Pete, I think he's a wicked dude with mondo talent. And I think that he is making whats best for his carear, and that's what youre supposed to do in life.

I was hoping for a 2 hour set of their older style shit. at least one hour of it would have been nice, so that was too bad.

but all in all I managed to have a wicked night.

Hell.. Transa didn't even bother mixing their songs together. It felt like a minute of silence in between each of the tracks they *played live*

Jason Marshall and Prophecy did have a good set afterwards though. Played a lot of epic classics which did put a huge smile on my face.

Props to all tranceaddicts who I talked to that night !

hmmmmm.....

Openly slagging these people like that is very bold of you. I would like to see you do it to their faces and not from your parents basement. If you have anything more to say about these people, I invite you to come see them in person. I'll be there, and very interested to hear what you have to say. These are people I know and are friends of mine. We'll all be together for the opening night of Klinik this Friday. Come early, I'll buy you a drink. Cheers.....

Heya,

yeah I agree, way too many young faces. Looks like PH didn't really care about the age, but more about the money!
Thing I really hated was that Transa crowd-clap-your-hands-crap. They did that every five mins and performed only for ~45mins since they were late 1:15hrs, how lame is that? And with that one dude running around all the time, I also had my doubts everything was actually played on the keyboards.
I thought St. Pete was not too bad. I liked what he spinned. Just my 2 cents...
It was nice meeting some of the TA's
All in all I was disappointed by Transa, but still had my fun, since some really nice tracks were played.

oh man where do I start lol

ooooook....

first of all, I thought that this was to be a 2 hour live PA.
second, It wasn't a live PA.
third, No one told me this was an all ages/Kandi Raver event?

Music was alright, better than flight 2000 or Phantom (without Eso ). It ws nice to meet all 9 of you TAs (I think it was nine). dude I forgot your name but I asked you what Liquid was all about and what it was witht he gloves and all. thanks for educating me on that lol. It has always been a big mystery to me. but now i know . lol, I heard that Transa did not have any power adapters from 220 to 110 lol. Yup we got different plugs in the E.U.

See you all at Mauro.

PS, Hordash u were there in spirit lol, tell u later

Just so you know, PH has nothing to do with id at the door. That's run by a security company that is outsourced from the niteclub.

But if you want to invite me to another one of these parties I would love to drop by and have a chat and a drink with you or any other organizer from Purple Heaven.

cheers......

Guvernment - too many ginos.
Viva - too many asians.
Turbo - too many kids.

Is there a place that will satisfy you guys in terms of the crowd?

Personally I didn't give a fuck about people yesterday. Nobody bothered me, nobody pushed me like at Guv, nobody threw up on me

The vibe was shitty though. Too many people left early.

just out of curiousity mecha, were you there to pickup girls or enjoy the music?

and how can transa be "fake" ? you know, those thousands of pressed records arent real, just a figment of my imagination

oh ya and i dont see how st pete got signed with perfecto records if you claim he is so terrible :P

but judgeing from most reviews looks like this party could have been better
