Of the movies mentioned so far:
hmm.. human traffic is possibly the dumbest movie I ever saw... I mean, the actors look like they are 15 year olds, and they act like 10 year olds.. sigh...
It does have a nice soundtrack though..
Requiem For A Dream is possibly one of the better movies in all categories, and it's more of a psychological study than anything else...
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas is based on a yearly 80s book (with a same name), and is about a journalist making a report on Las Vegas, but ending up doping himself to death... Basicly, this is a movie with Johny Depp, and he's my fav actor, so yeah, this movie is "special"...
Trainspotting is the classic english movie that is actually a two-sided medal: on one side, it's a drama about heroin dependence, on the other - it's a side-splitting comedy... Recommended...
Kids features no plot whatsoever (except the small "warn him that he's got aids" subplot), and is basicly just a crude picture of retarded 14 year olds doing drugs and fucking, and everybody ending up with aids... Although it looked impressive when I first saw it many years ago, nowadays during recent revision, I thought it was utter crap...
Groove had Digweed in it.. But that's about it.. Characters are uninteresting, etc etc...
Anyway... Oddly enough, commenting all these movies, I fail to mention any of my own selection... Prolly because drugs and raves do not make an interesting movie as such, imho.. Short of few classics, it's just usually something very boring to watch...
of course, all that I said was my own humble opinion, and if you don't agree - tough luck..
