I think its back to one. The pushback they got last year from doing that second weekend was pretty bad. |
in the meeting last year the city left it open to do two years in the future but the meeting would have to come late like late December or early January. Ultra wants a second weekend just because they only have to pay for the stages to go up once

With no second week, and the fact that this thing isn't sold out, tells me that Ultra made a mistake charging $500 for tickets. Bad time for a festival to make mistakes, with all the competition these days. Mysteryland looks interesting, Tomorrowworld was supposedly awesome, and then you have EDC whom has been stepping their game up as well.
For $500, the experience better be far and away better than anything else that is offered in the country. I don't know if that's true. And honestly, $500 is just too much for ANY festival, I don't care how badass it is or who is playing. It's just too much damn money to fork out to see a glorified light show and dudes mixing electronic music in a massive sea of kandi kids.
But then again, I'm reminded of how insignificant electronic music is compared to the world of football and basketball and how much money is involved at those events. I spent $190 on a pair of tickets for a Magic game at the beginning of the season (as much as I love pro basketball, these games usually nowhere near the experience of a good music festival). It's all relative to your disposable income, I guess.
