And there goes RA.

Their Forums, anyway. Shame, it was the only reason I ever consistently lurked there. The new layout is just... meh. At least your Grannies with really poor eyesight can now read the comments!

Be interesting to see how this affects the RA community though. They leaned more old-school than most, and if there's anything old-schoolers hate, it's change. I mean, just look at TA here! Total Web 1.0 action, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

RA forums are gone? Dunno why they changed their logo, I liked it as it was.

Oddly enough, TA is running on the same server hardware as it was in August 2004. It has enough horsepower to handle 1500+ users on the forum but after 9+ years the scsi hard drives are starting to flake out (files are going missing).

As well, today I signed up for a 10x faster server at 1/4 the cost. So, that'll be nice. It was a good price for the first 5 years or so... after that they were milking me, bastards.

I'm moving it somewhere new but the place I originally had it on was bought out by a bigger company a few years later so technically no, lol.

In 2000 it was originally on free hosting (virtualave.net) - then I went to tera-byte.ca on a shitty raq3 server for $99/month (i'm amazed these guys still exist)...then I moved to the scam of a company that was "CI Hosting".... then to Rackshack.net which got bought out by softlayer.com (owned by IBM)

If you ever need legit webhosting PM me...I have a new separate server running Plesk control panel that I use to host a handful of people.

Hey look, the same tablet-friendly web-design every company has been transitioning to! I'm shocked.

I am actually kind of shocked about the forums, though. Did they really delete them for good?

I meant RA, but thanks for the tip Del, I may actually have to take you up on the offer in a few months if the price is right.
