There was a line with a person who checks your ID. That person was telling several people around him that there was no free guestlist for the night. I showed him my Chemistry print at home ticket (a zero dollar "ticket," but it did state "free before 10:30pm on it), and he said that it was a misprint. Then I asked about the MNS guestlist, since I had already signed up on that, and he reiterated that there was no free guestlist for the night. I didn't see anyone else around to check with, so I left. Checked FB when I got home and yup, it still showed "free b4 10:30" on the club's own RSVP list. Really disappointing, made sure that I was there before the cutoff too, but I'm not down for false advertising. Shit like this needs to be called out and corrected, or it reflects badly on them and people may stop showing up. Nobody is too big to fail these days.
I've been there more times than I can count on my hands and toes, and now I feel like I never want to go back. |
Make sure to call them out as much as you can on FB. They might delete your post but I just keep at it. It's a shame when you plan to go and you drive there, pay parking, get ready, etc and get to the venue and they pull this.

You can defend them all you want, in fact I admire you for doing so, but don't you find it a little suspect that whenever these characters change their style and sound - it's always a "coincidence" they select whatever sound happens to be "popular" that month? - John Askew
A lot of artists today are just victims, not having control, and they're not free. And that's pathetic. If you start being dependent on money, then money has to reach a point to fit your expenses. - Thomas Bangalter
