Hi Guys,

Long time lurker.

I registered because I need some advise.

I will be in Amsterdam for 1 day and plan on taking the mushrooms there.

It goes without saying that the success of any trip depends on the music - however, I haven't listened to anything new in years.

Therefore , I need your help. Could you kindly help recommend me some good albums to download that you think would be good for shrooming.

In the past the artists that have complimented my journeys has been: bonobo, four tet, tosca, jon kennedy, kruder & dorfmeister, AIR, and such.

I'm open to anything though. The more the better, and I will sample all on the flight over.

Also - if you have any advise regarding which shrooms are the best, which smartshops or coffee shops are good, or anything like that, would also be appreciated, but will only be there for 1 day.

Also, any Doors studio album. Try, Soft Parade

I presume you know that they only sell truffles now (officially anyway). There's only a few suppliers anyway so it doesn't really matter were you get them. I'd always recommend the atlantis truffles, they seem to be the most well rounded of the ones I tried and they can give a good visual trip.

Yea i meant truffles, but from my experience they are basically the same thing. Hardly worth mentioning the difference.

I've tried atlantic, but only the 10g dose. Not very visual at all, but still fun. This time I want to go for something much stronger...

When I was at a shroom shop there years ago, they had a list of shrooms with varying potency. I think I tried the least potent one, but was still tripping the entire night.

Yeah dosage is everything. There are certainly stronger species, like Dutch giant and Dragons Dynamite. But to be honest I think you're better of with a slightly higher dosage of atlantis. I've tried the stronger ones and they tend to mostly give very heavy and uncomfortable body-trips. You don't feel any higher but it is more debilitating.

If you've gone through a few trips already I'd say 20-25 grams of atlantis is the sweet spot, at least it is for me and quite a few others I know. Did it last week and got a good 8 to 10 hours of fun out of them.

Yeaaa.. this is what I was curious about. To either go with a smaller dosage of the strong ones vs a bigger dosage of the weaker ones.

Normally I prefer to go with a smaller dosage of strong strand - but your saying the opposite.

When you compare it to weed for example, I would prefer 1 spliff of great buds rather than 10 of shitty buds. Isnt there a barrier for the weaker strands, like no matter how much you take, you will only reach a certain level of tripping?

When I used to eat dried mushrooms, normally ppl say take 3 grams, but I found 1.5-2 grams more enjoyable and easier to control, however, I still like to have crazy visuals.

The other thing is when I said I only have 1 day - i meant I only really have like 12 hours in Amsterdam before my next flight haha. I want the strongest trip possible without missing my flight!

I live in a country where you cant get shrooms. I only have the oppertunity once every couple years. I want to do it right, with no regrets.

Don't mean to change the subject, but there is also one shop that sells DMT.

Id be lying if I said the thought didnt cross my mind.

Would it be a good idea?

Well there isn't really a straight answer to this, I've said what I have to say on the matter. I wouldn't say atlantis is a 'weak' species by any means and you can certainly get a strong visual trip from them even on a normal dosage (15 grams here).
It's just that hallucinogens are a tricky thing and you can't really manipulate or sculpt the perfect trip as you please regardless of what you take.
If you're going to do this all in one go including the travel back you'd be best of taking a more cautious route and sticking with a normal dosage of whatever the hell you end op taking. The differences between all the species are mostly nuances anyway.
Travelling back will be harsh but it's definitely doable.

For stronger trips it really is best to do some build up anyway. I know you can't always get them in your country but they are ridiculously easy to grow so that shouldn't really matter.
You should be able to grab a growkit by mail-order anywhere in the EU, or you could try and smuggle some spores back with you at the very least. It's a much better idea.

Last question - how about a 7.5 grams of dragon dynamite and 7.5 grams of atlantis? Have you ever tried that?
