My friend told me yesterday that he listens to Trance. Could this song I found pass for Trance?

For the most part, yes...it's kind of trying to blend classic with modern though which kind of clashes.

My definition of trance: a music genre comprised of a lot of progressions, repetitions, melodies and breakdowns that create a sort of a mental journey and tell a story from the beginning of the track (intro) till the end (outro). The reason why I call it trance is the intensifying build ups, euphoric pads...powerful breakdowns and the dominant but yet harmonic leads and of course the touchy vocals that give the whole thing an emotional side and feeling.

Not trying to sound smart here or teach somebody what trance is lol...just expressing my opinion about it and I just realized I went too far so Im just gonna stop here!

Interestingly enough, I thought the first minute was sick, and the track would've been better off as a hard techno track.

Trance isn't a music genre. It's a state of mind.

Its a state of feeling. Shit I hate the word state just because of AVB that piece of crap.
