Whadda!? Hard drive's gone mad!

Can someone explain to me how it's possible for the computer to say that I can't save something because there's no space in the hard disk and, at the same time, Windows Explorer tells me that I've got 600 free mb!? Doesn't make sense

Empty your recycling bin, and restart your computer. If that doesn't work then run scandisk or disk defrag.

Already done it. The computer stays "calm" for a couple of days, and then it gets back to its natural madness That's why I don't know what to do

Most programs (including windows) need some free HD space at any given time to run properly, tho if you have 600 megs free and its still bitching, try defragging. This might do the trick. Your HD might just be going nuts.

*looks to dust bin*

hmm... I guess I already know what to do

Kidding, I'll defrag it again, maybe it requires several defragging or something... anyway, thanks for the tips
