Remixing a track

I am so wanting to get into remixing and production, yet I know that I don't have the expenses to do so...
I was thinking of resorting(and starting out with ) software. I've been hearing of this program called Reason, and the results seem very good(currently listening to Bren F's remix of Airwave).
I have a really good idea to remix Marco V's GODD, yet I don't know where to start. Also, where on earth would I get the samples of the vocals and strings/pads/leads etc from the original?

If you get the edited album version of the tune, I believe it starts with only the vocals, so just use any wav editor and just cut it from there

And yeah, Reason is great, but you're not gonna be making pro-quality tracks at once, be patient heh

Oh ok..So when you guys use vocals, you just cut them from the original?
BTW Haak hows it going. I haven't talked to you in a while..last time was on the DC hub, which still isn't fucking working for me.
Peace

Yeah, if that's possible, it's not like we're gonna get clean vocals and synth samples sent to us (unfortunately)

I'm fine btw, sorry to hear about your hub crisis :P

Acapellas are another way.......but both solutions are hard to find........So have have to forget about remixing what u want to remix, that won't work.....u'll have to remix what u can.....
