Well im representin Staten Island, NY.

So I was wonderin, Ive been to a few clubs in the city.
Ive been to Exit and Webster Hall.
Im only turning 18, so I got time ahead of me.
I would like some of you more experienced clubbers to tell me what you think of some clubs in the city.
I know there is much hype about Twilo.........Can you be more specific....Is it the people, the atmosphere, is it a big club like exit, or a smaller cozier one like Webster!
Lets keep this NYC thing goin!!!!

smaller than Exit. Best DJ Lineup & Sound System in the States. Exit & Factory are bout gettin laid. Twilo is for muzik lovers. The vibe & energy is phenomenal. This friday Nick Warren & Sander Kleinenberg. www.Twilo.com

I know that in factory and exit there are a lot of e heads, and sometimes that ruins my mood
is it like that in twilo?

There are definately a good amount of people on drugs at Twilo but definately not as much as Exit..everyone at Exit is high on something

The difference is Exit & Soundfactory have DJ's Johnathan Peters,Johnny Vicious, Tony Draper, Boris & to boot shitty sound systems.

Twilo has Sasha, Digweed, PVD, Anthony Pappa, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Sven Vath, Josh Winx, Mauro Picotto, Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Sander Kleinenberg etc.

SF & Exit is more of a pick up scene. Ppl go there to get fucked up & get laid. Twilo is about the muzik, dancing, & the vibe. Everyone is friendly & nice plus Twilo has the BEST SOUND SYSTEM in the States.

Not to mention those wicked fuckin fog machines. First time I've ever been to Twilo, I saw PVD, and they cranked those babies on ... not only could i not see my own hand in front of me but the fog was refreshing too. Yea the only problem with twilo is that it gets PACKED! Tough to do steps.

Of course its gonna be packed, The best DJ's the world are playin on the best sound system in the world! But It only gets ridiculously PACKED on S&D, PVD, & when Danny Tenaglia comes. & no I don't work for Twilo just live there. hehe

haha..I love those fog machines too!!! I missed out on PVD last year and gonna miss out his set in april..but I won't miss his appearance this summer! Can't Wait!!!

Even though the dance floor gets really crowded, try the v.i.p. room. Its not always crowded and you can still hear the muzik.

but the system isn't as good upstairs plus the dancefloor is tiny. It's good to chill on couches but its get MAD hot in there...like a sauna. The bathrooms are better.

true, true. But sometimes its better than getting stepped on all night. (Especially @ PVD shows) I love it all anyway. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

twilo probably has the best lineup consistently... just having pvd, sasha, and digweed as regulars beats out all other clubs! but as a DC native, i gotta say that BUZZ will give twilo's sound system a run for best sound system on the east coast nod goes to twilo for the best laser effects! they're f*ckin amazing!!
yeah, pvd nites are always crazy. the lounge upstairs doesn't get as hot as downstairs, tho, and u have a lot more room to dance in. what i do get annoyed about is the way twilo's bouncers have been treating ppl lately. i've talked to some of the twilo promoters, and they all seem to agree that the bouncers have gotten a lot more 'heavy-handed' with everyone.
diff. note, i was at twilo last nite for pvd... GOD!! one of the best i've ever been to, in any club. pvd ripped up the turntables. i talked to one of the promoters, and it seems there was a bunch of threads on the net about how pvd's been slackin off a bit.. not playing hard/fast/new tracks at twilo like he does in european clubs, and sticking to old songs (for an angel, out there and back, etc), stopping at 8am when the club is still full and ppl are still going full-blast, blah blah. supposedly, twilo owner (or someone else) sent the msgs to pvd, and he replied 'i accept the challenge'... now i don't know if all this is true or not, but DAMN! he was INCREDIBLE!! and he spun from 3 to 11, instead of 2 to 8 like usual. personally, i like his new style.. not gonna say if it's better or worse than before, but i definitely like it. if anyone knows where i could get this set as mp3, PLEASE let me know... but then, 8hour sets are hard to come by
