Will inter-species romance gain wider acceptance in the years and decades ahead?
Society has slowly but steadily been accepting wider configurations of romantic relationships over time. People of different economic strata, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and even same-sex preferences can now get down and get together in many parts of the world without fear of persecution.
It follows then that the next logical step in the process would be to dissolve the boundaries between species and allow romantic relationships to develop between members of different species.
What do TAs think about this?
In the future we might even be discussing weddings between plants and humans, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here.
