Hey guys, I have some quick question for ya: 1) Is essential to have a subbass in every song? 2) If I have a subbass, do I have to low cut the kick? 3) Is essential to make a bass using more than 1 channel? (e.g. a channel for low bass and other for mid bass and so on) 4) How to get a kick to be really heavy and powerful like the one in deadmau5 - catbread? Thanks!
no no no use a sample you think is heavy and powerful. That kick is rather minimal and ordinary. questions are kinda vague. Spend 1 hour a day listening and analyzing a track.

The answer is always sidechain, analog, and tapestop.
And don't forget to put some donk on it.
