As an Australian and a passionate Liverpool FC fan I urge you fellow Australians not to buy or read that rag FHM Magazine.

FHM Magazine has published a sickening and inhumane article about the Hillsborough Diaster in 1989 where 96 innocent Liverpool supporters were crushed in an overcrowded terrace in an FA Cup semi final.

This article contains photographs of the suffering and dying of the Hillsborough disaster. Accompanying the photographs are the following captions:

Picture 1 – The picture of hundreds of fans showing the steel mesh at the front of the terrace with many fans – mainly youngsters – being crushed. Caption: "Shoppers waited for the doors to open for the end-of-year sale."

Picture 2 – Distraught man with hands on the cheeks of a prone man. Other scenes of despair in the background. Caption: "Yeah, your glands are really swollen."

Picture 3 – At the Anfield Wall of Remembrance showing the roll of names of the victims. Mother in black, girl of eight or so in lilac holding a rose and, seemingly, pointing at the list. Caption: "Level four, lingerie and kids wear."

Picture 4 – Fans in the upper tier trying to lift the fans from below to safety. Caption: "Get us a beer while you’re there."

Picture 5 – The pitch. Victims laid out on advertising hoardings. Lots of helpers standing, distraught. Caption: "Pitch invaders: lazy."

Picture 6 – Close up of the steel mesh. Youngster crushed on it. Another, older, person also in shot. Caption: "The queue for the Bertie Beetle bag was rough."

Liverpool fans in Australia saw this and addressed this through the forums of Liverpool FC's Official webiste. Liverpool fans in the UK are now campaigning to boycott the UK version (FHM UK). If sales decrease of FHM UK, FHM UK will have to put the blame on FHM AUSTRALIA.
The Editor of FHM Australia John Barstick, has apologised poorly. His apology contains a SHITLOAD of CONTRADICTIONS.

After hearing this personally, I was ashamed to be Australian.

As a word of advice, if you care about Human life dont bother reading or buying this mag.

You may not care, but I just had to post this, to give more awareness of what shit FHM writes.

yeah i saw this article, first time i bought FHM too, and i will never pick one up again. I was a huge liverpool fan back then when i used to live in england, and this is just horrible. I still remember the day it happened, hearing it on the news, tragic really. But to do this is fucking criminal...........

Lets not forget that FHM is targetted at a particular segment of hte market - the sort of people who probably wouldn't think twice about going "hur-hur-hur" when they read that stuff .. it doesn't make any difference to them whether people died or not..

i agree that this is a pretty ordinary performance, but at the same time .. they have done worse than this..

personally, they should just take out the un-funny articles and replace em with more pix of models
why else would you buy it?
