Late night stoner thinking

Let's for a second imagine we live in a universe where the speed of light was not the fastest we could travel. We are in a universe where there is no speed limit in physics.

Not only that but you can run way past the speed of light.

Now I am standing on the moon with a friend at a start position. He is the observer in this experiment. I tell him I will run so fast in a straight line around the moon I will arrive 1 second later after I leave. My orbit will take me 1 second. I take off, he counts to 1 and bam I arrive at the same spot. He says to me "fuck that was impressive can you do it faster?" I reply of course. We do the race again and I do it a half a second quicker taking me a half a second to arrive. Impressed as hell again he asks if I can do it quicker. I say yes. I take off and arrive back in the same spot so quickly he didn't even notice I left. He asks if I can do it quicker once again I take off so quickly I ended up breaking my nose on my own back when I arrive. Fuckin big wop noses! He pushes
Me to do it one more and just a bit quicker. I take so quickly and I get back to my starting point 1 second before I leave. Hence travelling backwards in time.

Now my question in this scenario is this let's say I didn't smash into myself and exploded into a million pieces and I took one step to the side, is the constant c (speed of light) the only thing stopping me from achievin time travel in the real world?

If you were running that fast, you'd reach escape velocity and would no longer be running on the moon.

Damn it lol. Ok let's say I was just flying in circles in a perfect vacuum lol. Or orbiting along the event horizon of a super massive
Black hole. Something where the gravity was great enough I wouldn't have an escape velocity

My next question is. The first time I do this experiment do I see myself one second before I leave and when I arrive are there 2 of me? Did I just dupe myself?

My mind just exploded I'm going to sleep

more or less, yes. if you could travel at the speed of light then time would stop, and you could travel anywhere instantly (to yourself). obviously it would still take billions of years to travel the cosmos from the point of view of your observer.

there are other theoretical constructs, like wormholes, that would allow you to travel vast distances without breaking c, but im not sure if i subscribe to that idea or not.

scientists broke the light speed barrier, so c may not actually be a constant, and going faster may not actually reverse time. or the equations hold true but light isn't the speed limit anymore

The joke is, this is why I don't smoke weed. All of a sudden I think I'm a fuckin physicist and have solved the time travel paradox

I was thinking of smoking today but I'm out of paper too lazy to go out and get it. Is it bad to take a pinch and eat it?

first thing first, 2am on a monday night, let me hit that shit

second, your logic is flawed, you cant have a no speed limit and with a time constraint, do it in 1S = a speed limit no matter the distance you travel

third, what do you pour first, the cereal or the milk?
