anyone know of anything good going on this weekend in vegas? pretty sure we are going to end up going to see calvin harris if we can't find anything else, and i'd like to avoid that if possible.
hoping this doesn't devolve into another 'there's no such thing as good music in vegas' thread, so actual responses only please, if you guys don't mind...

if you are there sunday late afternoon/early evening you could go to Daylight for Roger Sanchez.

"there's no such thing as good music in vegas" is the only fucking response. it's not even debatable at this point.
the only music you get off strip is shitty dubstep, the only music you get on strip is top 40 edm
the only way to get good music in vegas is to invent a time machine and go back several years, or wait until EDC week and selectively attend the 2 or 3 good events out of 50+

I'm about as big of a music snob as can be but last time I went to Drais 6 mos ago I had a blast. I heard maybe 3-4 cheesey tunes all night the rest was "decent" tech house. People were dancing and having blast too.
When all else fails get a ball and hit the rippers.

Probably one of the worst weeks to go (12th) when EDC is the next week
I've had nothing but good experiences at drais, but that's because it's closer to an afterhours club.

Was this just afterhours or pretty much the whole time???
Heading out in July for a Sat-Mon (18th -20th) and do NOT plan on sacrificing my musical tastes just for the sake of going out.
Drais was about the only spot I could think of for any music (real house, tech house or tech) that we would enjoy.
Always down to go off strip and check out any locals spinning too...just want good music.
