Your mixes are usually extremely good, even if you don't get much attention on TA. I'm having a listen now.

Cheers for taking a listen! The artwork is done by a super talented photographer/artist Russ Seidel, whom I stumbled upon while going through flicker a while back. I haven't actually asked for his permission for using his art as a cover image for my mixtapes, but since he licenses his work under Creative Commons and I'm not making a financial profit from my mixtapes, I figure its alright as long as I give proper credit. But seriously, check out his work, if you haven't already.

As for not getting much attention on TA (or elsewhere for that matter), it's all good. I firmly believe that the internet is extremely over saturated with amateur mixtapes & music. For this reason I have decided to not go overboard with promoting my creations. I am an amateur, after all, even though I think that I'm well above average in the quality sense

Well I enjoyed this one, as usual. The defining characteristic of your mixes always seem to be a very warm sound, which was true here. Nice deep, lush grooves but also a few diversions into more big-room or breaksy territory. The mixing was very adventurous, far more daring than an average housey-techno set. At times the mixing felt a little forceful, like you were pushing the mix in different directions, but it never became distracting. Good stuff, overall.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've thought about it too. When making mixtapes infrequently I tend to go for a diverse playlist. There is a fine line between pulling it off and being all over the place. I think I've crossed over to both of these sides. In that sense my mixes sound more like a radio show than an usual house/techno mix.

I still give a lot of effort into the flow, but at the same time I need to push the boundaries in order to fit the different genres together. I think that the result, as it is, would not work well in a club environment. At the same time it should feel interesting when listening at home, work or in transit. I guess this is what I'm going for.

Cheers for the feedback!
