plain and simple here in NYC on a summer day

get in a yellow taxi that has no a/c in the back seat or pay the same, slightly higher, or sometimes even less to take an uber that is comfortable and has a/c through out the car.

I got everything resolved. Customer service responded they were very nice gave me my first ride free, reviewed the other route, agreed it wasn't right and gave me a discount. Their rating system seems designed for internal use.

Overall I was very happy quick pickup, drivers aren't agressive like cabies in nyc. You meet some interesting people.

Passengers get rated too. Riders and drivers get matched based on their ratings. You can find out your rating by emailing them or just asking the driver.

So bad passengers get matched up with bad drivers sounds like a dating site.

I think a rating/review system like ebay makes more sense.

Fuck me, you must live under a fucking rock to have only used uber for the first time.

Been using it for 3+ years for every night out and also the only way to go in Europe.

When I was in Paris in January, there was a Taxi strike protesting Ride sharing apps, so guess what? Everyone had to use Uber lol.

I barely ever give them less than 5 stars but last weekend I went out for lunch with the missus and some girlfriends, and this big african guy that barely grunted english at us picked us up.Idiot was wearing headphones while driving, and the stereo was blaring Marry the Pussy by R Kelly so loud it made our ears hurt and had to yell at him turn it off. He then nearly hit a car changing lanes and had to swerve to avoid a collision. Really it's been the first bad experience with Uber.

There's one fucking great Uber guy in my area who does late night shift. Has this plush minivan and inside there's little jars of sweets/candies/gummy bears/sourworms/nerds/ etc all over the passenger area - so fucking good when you;re wrecked at 3am and that guy rolls up as your Uber.

Actually it's great. Better passengers get better service and vice versa.

Every uber driver we had in dc was black. One guy said he was a ceo of his one man company. He had business card and web site, something to do with alternative media outlet... I don't get ppl who don't have money but can afford an expensive car, he had recent model Range Rover.
