Thanks! Hope you like it.
I thought I'd write a little about every track.
01: Influx - Dreamscape
Released in 1993 on Sapho, sublabel of Rising High Records. The guy behind Influx is the amazing ambient producer James Bernard, who is more famous for his ambient productions.
02: Quadripart - Joy
Released in 1994 on the dutch label Hyper Hype. On the same release is also a Lemon8 remix.
03: Traumatic - Tribal Symphony
Released in 1994 on Noom Records, on the Higher EP. Noom released lots of banging acid trance in the early 90s. This one is an exception. Ayla actually released a 2011 cover of this last year.
04: Ulysses - Dream N Trance
Released in 1993 on Noom Records. This was one of the first releases on Noom. The guy behind the project is Ramin/Afrotrance who released tons of trance on various labels in the early 90s, such as Harthouse, Risin g High etc.
05: Surge - Transistory Charm
Surge is a Bristol-based brother duo of Andy and Dave Bell. Transistory Charm was produced in 1994 but due to problems with labels the album wasn't released until 1996.
06: Syzygy - Can I Dream?
Released in 1994 on Rising High Records. Syzygy were mainly ambient producers but also put out a few trance gems.
07: Beyond Religion - Project Janus
Released in 1992 on the obscure and short lived English label Beyond Religion Records. Beyond Religion is a quite forgotten act from the early 90s. They released a few records on their safe titled label but then vanished.
08: Cherrymoon Trax II - Plastic Body Liquid Mind
Released 1994 on Bonzai Records. Produced by Axel Stephenson who had his hands in quite a few great records from Bonzai. This track is also a forgotten one mainly due to that the A-side, Let There be house stole the show.
09: Yakari - Helix Wave
Released in 1994 on the Swedish based Loop Records. The guy behind Yakari is no other than the techno legend Cari Lekebusch. Before trance became a dirty word a numbers of Swedish techno and house producers also released trance records (such as Axwell, check out his OXL tracks).
10: Aeon - Terminus
Released in 1995 on Ninetysix Sounds. Very shortlived project by the guy who later went on to form the trance project Nuclear Ramjet.
11: Source - Mental Resurrection
Released in 1992 on Ohm, a small Swedish underground label which showcased Swedish underground techno and trance producers. Source is Robert Leiner, aka The Source Project. I always loved how his productions always sounded so ahead of their time. I also love how much bass and rhythm he puts into his tracks.
12: Source - Release It
Released in 1993 on the belgian label R & S Records, a label who's been active for more than 20 years now. Robert Leiner released most of his stuff on R & S and Release It is taken from his amazing Organized Noises album. Also check out his other two albums from the same label Robert Leiner – Visions Of The Past and The Source Experience - Different Journeys.
13: Seofon - The Joyning
Released in 1994 on Visible Records. Seofon is an ambient and IDM producer. The Joyning is taken from his Access EP. A great EP with nice songs.
