Prince & Sister Bliss @ Nighttown
In relation to his last show from his European Tour, Prince or "The arist formerly known as Prince" will do a special after show party at Nighttown in Rotterdam (NL) on November 2nd. The after party will take place after his concert at Ahoy, also in Rotterdam. Prince is known for doing after parties for his fans, but this time it doesn't seem to be just an ordinary after party but an extra show, a jam session for his real fans.

On his 35th birthday in 1993, Prince announced that he would change his name to an unpronounceable symbol. The glyph incorporates the male and female signs along with the alchemy symbol for soapstone. The usual ASCII representation of the symbol is: O ( + >
However, on May 16th, 2000, Prince announced that he would resume using his former name, because his final contract with Time Warner (i.e. his publishing contract with Warner-Chappel) had expired. It seems that he will continue to use the symbol as a logo now. Prince used to write the word 'slave' on his forehead during his concerts, a symbol and act of his resistance against his record company.

His music is now only available through his website and is distributed by local firms, and some of his CDs are only available if you're member of his fanclub 'New Power Generation Club'. If you're looking for remixes, some new disco filtered 2002 remixes of Prince vs Sheena Easton 'You Got The Look' are available from the shops now. While Prince performs in the Main Hall, the music at the Basement of Nighttown is provided by Sister Bliss from Faithless, Benny Rodriguez, Emjay and Cross. This is the first party in a series of new parties at the Basement called 'Fake - For real people only', organised by former Kremlin founders Emjay, Cross and Koen from Amsterdam. (28/10/02)
