i gotta agree with both of you guys .. 99 was definately the golden year for trance and everything culminated up to the peak at the end of 99 and on through 2000 with Tiesto's groundbreaking sounds ..


but yes at the same time nothing lasts forever.. we all have to move on. the music that has evolved today probably won't be around in the next couple of years either but instead ever changing into something new ..

99 does bring back memories tho and a shed of tears .. aww..

China and Havana were always my two favs.

I remember 'getting' electronic music about half way through the first Oakenfold Best of Cream cd. The mixing, the track selection, it all came together for me right there. Which is still much later in the game than most of you guys. Good thread.

UWO Tranceaddict is right IMO as well, I feel all the Trance now a days sounds the same. Binary Finary, Cafe Del Mar (original), Airwave, were all classics that I can still put on today. Oaky's Live from Space @ Ibiza
