Most people refer to any dance music as being techno. Some people who think they know more call things that are really "commercial hard house/high energy" techno cos they think they are cool. The best example in Australia would be Nick Skitz. The Wogs who adore him call his music either techno, or fully sick, or full hard tunes. From experience, nick skitz is none of these.
