Ten Ways To Spot One :-)
1. Buying several copies of the same record. You know, to mix with, or to have the import copy, or just to have...
Hmm... i have ten mixes of Chakra, Home on vinyl, and more available if i ever needed them (mate owns a record shop and i know he has alot of the promos from the various releases of this track)
2. Managing to buy a record every time you go to the shops, even if you only wanted a pint of milk.
... i always pop into town after uni, even if it some Umek, or Vandit, Blackhole, whatever release... i HAVE to have it.
3. Cataloguing your records alphabetically.
Nope...
4. Not cataloguing your records, but somehow finding them with your spotter,s sixth sense.
I know where all of mine are, and have seperated them into artist, IE Armin section, MIKE section, Picotto section etc. After that, there all done in labels, then genre...
5. Getting a potent ecstatic rush when you finally track down that rare tune.
Always... you get one... another ... comes along! Currently want Crazy Malmalute, Free to Ride (Big fat tire mix) on vinyl, as we got Guy Ornadel to play it in Eden, and it tore the roof off.
6. Not being able to listen to music whilst having sex, because you start thinking about the producer, remixer ect.
...... no comment......
7. An unbearable urge to take over the decks at any party / chill out sesh / major nightclub.
..... still waiting for the day to happen at Peach......
8. Looking through your friends record collections whenever you visit. Which wont be very ofter, eh?
.. naturally....
9. Conversations with your spotter mates that start off with the words: "heard any good tunes lately?"
Stormjunkie, were are you?????
10. Conversations with your mum that start off with the words: "heard any good tunes lately?"
,,,,, OK, im not that bad....... yet.
Right on.
