to those of you who persistently turn down progressive

check out:

steve porter - nordica
steve porter - the return

these are two of the most brilliant soundscapes i've heard in months!
if u are not able to recognize the beauty of these tracks, there is something seriously wrong with u.. hard trance lover or not.

'nuff said

Yeah great tunes, although I wouldn't say the best in months.
That would be:

bedrock - emerald (filterheadz remix)
Pole folder - dust
filterheadz - protection
Grayara - one for the road
Nugen - Braaj (Lemon 8 Remix)
salome & ives - mystic roya
...
and a few hundreds more

No, seriously great tracks!
Nordica is featured on bedrock 3, check it out, brilliant compilation

Behold, my arse.

No offence meant or flame intended, but maybe some of us don't want to get into progressive, I'm totally happy with listening to uplifting & Epic and Harder stuff as well as chilled & Hardstyle, I don't feel left out cos im not humping the progressive sounds, it's just something that doesn't appeal to me, it's slow, boring and irritates me, I don't see a journey in it cos i fall asleep to it, but that's just me, so don't flame me for it, I know some ppl like me, and I know some who like it, and as much as I respect it, I have no intentions on trying to get into something just because everyone else and their sheepdog are

Yeah, I Mean I could do the same and point to tunes by oliver klitzing, technoboy or kai tracid and how beautiful they are to me, but wont be to everyone, songs have meanings, and some dont get the same feeling, but I don't see the point in trying to force a sound onto someone who isn't interested by it, it's the choice of the listener

there have been too many progressive evangelism threads! damn lay off!

i mean i love prog and all but quit forcing it on people! what if prog becomes a new fad!!?!? are you people gonna like that then!?!? what's gonna happen after that!? we're all gonna start listening to IDM (which I have been already for years anyway) and that'll be the end of it!

It's because people on those boards who like prog, me included.
Do like trance also and were pure Tranceaddicts before they realized the amazing sound of progressive. I know this doesn't go with everyone but it does go with many people.
And without those people I for one wouldn't have realized the beaty of progressive at least not so soon. So if you don't want it, ignore it.

cheers,

My Point exactly, it's freedom of choice, some go prog, some don't, some go a bit of both, we call those the cross... oops im getting caught away here but seriously u hate like salesmen yeah, cos they're like forcing their product onto u, and this is no different, just a different scenario, so the next person who says 'progressive is the future, you have to like it' can have it stuck back up their arses (unless it's Coup cos he'd like it )

U'r right here mate, freedom of choice, well said!
I wanna add a little something to that ."Progressive is the future", yeah it's a weird thing to say but actually you can take it as something for trancelovers to be the future, there will be one day u gonna love it, that's why it's called "the future", although it's for every person different.
Now I read a lot on sites etc... and people claim breaks is the future and maybe elektro, I'm not that much into the genre but I can understand why it's the future, people who are sold out on prog search for new things, maybe breaks, maybe elektro, whatelse...
I heard gu 023 I think it's a very different change in the world of elektronica. I like the album but not that much as I love eg. Bedrock 3. NOT YET. So yeah I can completely understand why people call that the future. And if my time is there to really DIG breaks so it be.
But what's life all about, being happy with what u do, so the music you like, let it be top 50, rap, techno, michael Jackson, whatelse, if it makes u happy then it's fine.
So take the term "progresive is the future" as something to stimulate your personal consciousness. A goal to look out for new things when u are getting tired on the music u listen now.
As long as u doesn't have the need for other things then what u like right now, let it be how it is.

Cheerz

when it comes to it..there have been quality songs by both genres..ive been hammering anthony pappa for months and seaman for weeks....but there are plenty of trance tracks worth checking out..

Progressive has definitely made an impact on electronic musik..but trance will always be there and have its superstars

im anticipating matt darey;s remixes next year and more lieb remixes

Progressive is an excellent genre and its been fun exploring it for me..trance is always there

that list shows quality and quality....as both genres both produce their share of garbage.

THE FUTURE Lies in an individuals hands
