"Strict Style Code" -- explanations?

alright...this is a totally n00b question, but i've never been able to find out what some clubs define as a 'strict style code'. Good examples include The Drink or Charlie's in t-dot.

WTF does this mean!? Like, can they tell you what they're looking for? Or do we have to use trial and error until we get in...

can anyone shed light on this?

tia!

i think what they mean is that there is no specific dress code
u just have to look "STYLING" and not like a scrub.... i could be wrong, youre right though, they should be specific

it means you must spend $400 on your wardrobe........

now, it doent mean fancy clothes..it means styling clothes......

like, if your wearing gap jans and a nautica t-shirt...prolly out of luck....

it means your gonna have to be a girl for a night and actually spend time getting dressed

Dress pants, dress shirt. Simple.
I tried getting into "Money" twice, assholes didn't let me in either time. What gets me is how some friends of mine also tried getting in and after waiting in line forever (meanwhile letting tons of other people ahead of them) they were told "we are at capacity, go home". Idiots. I will never never go there ever, unless I am guaranteed to get in and I get there early, which is by their standards 9pm. Fuckin stupid clubs. However there's only one thing that would make me want to go there constantly, apparently the ratio of women to men is 4:1 or something like that.

so, now i have to immerse myself in the fashion industry just to get into a couple clubs? wtf is that? I mean, i can see if they don;t let in john doe off the street with jeans, etc...but be specific. if they said 'business casual', i'd know what to wear. but when they say 'dress to impress', i have no clue....do i have to go in drag or something?? is this freakin mardi gras? (okay, maybe exaggerated a little)

LOL!

I say fuck that! Why would I want to dress all "styling" when it means being uncomfortable. Don't worry though those clubs ppl don't go to dance and enjoy the music. They are there too look good. Looking good to go out is one thing i think everyone tries a little bit. But places like Money are the worst because they decide who gets in and who doesn't.

I have a friend who is a little on the heavy side. She tried to get into Money for a friend's Birthday and later found out that she was refused entry because of her size. Thats just wrong!
