If it had a couple more line inputs it would do everything I need but why does it have to cost $1300 for a 2ch interface

Edit: Oh for fucks sake. They have that level fo quality for the DAC signal chain and the video has them using KRK's.

I will say the monitor section is perfect though. Probably worth $500 of the price just for that.

I dunno. The solo is pointless, the duo is just about enough DSP and the quad is massively expensive. You're into RME UC/X territory there.
