Ketamine is used for all kinds of procedures that require conscious sedation. Have seen many hilarious reactions like this.

Once (well many times, but this one time), in the ICU, it was used to help intubate a patient and he was clearly way deep in a k hole. Of course the other staff have no idea what that looks like and they were like "Oh he's off his rocker!" and in my mind I was just like "Nah man, he's in a fuckin k hole lol."

See, you should have just come right out and loudly and proudly said so...lay that shit on the silly ole prudes that have no idea. Then, when they think they have you cornered with their cleverness and ask, "Well, just how do YOU know what a 'k hole' is?!" you can simply reply, "Oh, I read about it on The Internet (TM)" and bam...their bubble of self-righteousness be burst, yo!

In my somewhat limited experience I have never even come close to that (or any) kind of euphoria. Just complete dissonance. Lying on the floor mumbling and squirming with no sense of direction.
Looks just as pathetic as it sounds. Funny as hell when youre the one watching, though
