Doing the Tough Mudder tomorrow. 10+ miles of running through the mud and 20 something obstacles. Wasn't my idea, was dragged into it by some friends. Might be fun, though, who knows.
Whoa Friday again already! Came home from Detroit on Tuesday to find a 500 dollar cheque in the mail from my union for overpaying union dues in 2016. Went to see Chance the Rapper Tues night, Tool on Weds night (holy crap so fuckin incredible btw), only worked yesterday, then today is payday, lulz. Best almost week off ever.
Chilling tonight. Off to another music festival tomorrow and Sunday.

There's no such thing as "too hot". I can really feel the heat here and I'm loving it. Today it peaked around +6, and tomorrow it'll be a scorching +8 if we get lucky. My sunchair's waiting on the balcony already.
I was going to start my workout routine again today, but I was presented with a chance to have grilled octopus (xtapodi, or something like that), a selection of many sorts of other meats, and a lot of wine and beer. Out of all the things that live in water that I've ever eaten, eel and octopus really stand out.

Didn't do shit last night, as I was just too beat down from a bad work week. July and August in TN can get pretty bad, speaking of heat. Three or four summers ago I recall we had about a 7 day stretch of 100+ (F) that I thought would never end. Throw in humidity levels in the 80 and 90% ranges, and that's "too hot" for me. Yard work today, if it doesn't rain.

The tough mudder was dumb. A big obstacle course for crazy white people. My knees are scraped to hell and my arms and legs are all bruised from the 2x4's and giant mounds of mud and dirt and rocks you had to climb all over. Was it pretty fun? Sure. Was it worth the time and energy and money? Hell nah.

I have not.. But I'll be experiencing something relatively similar to me as I've planned to go as far as Southern France this summer.
And there definitely is such a thing as too hot. When it gets to around 15 C (~60 F), I sweat like a Finn on a cruise ship. I walked to work yesterday, and I considered turning back at some point, taking a shower, and trying again by car. It was 10 C. Sometimes I think it was the intolerance to warmth that drove us all this far north.
