ok last month my mom flew to see my sister on delta and her flight back got delayed so she was stuck in atlanta airport for like a whole night and they didn't even offer to put her up in a hotel room. her flight getting to her layover spot was a little late, so she was late getting to her gate where she would be flying home and they had given her seat away!! the plane was still sitting there at the gate and hadn't taken off yet and they couldn't do anything for her. NOOWWWW my boyfriend is at LA airport and was supposed to be getting on a flight to dallas and then to here and now IT got delayed...so he can't get on that flight because he will miss his connecting flight in dallas...it's 1:00 PM cali time and he has to sit around the airport until 10:00 PM!!! he is also on delta. for those of you traveling in the near future...do not go with delta. what a bunch of cheap asses...

umm how much did your mom pay for the flight?

cheap id imagine, cause last time i flew Delta it was def a great deal. things almost got fucked up too, and ive heard a lot of stories similar to yours, but mine went off great. pleasant flight from Detroit to New Orleans before/after Mardi Gras for 200 bucks.

i dont think you can judge an airline by one flight/experience, cause they will ALL dick you over and be cheap if they wanna - its not like Delta is the only one. the only airline i dont like is Northwest. prolly 80% of the NWA flights ive been on were delayed, delayed with seats fucked up, etc. and even if you arent supposed to go to Minneapolis, theyll prolly make you. its really wack|

that has happened to me before. DELTA SUCKS!!
i had to go to minnesota, and the only flight i could get under $1000 went through atlanta (i live in new jersey). but i missed my layover by 2 minutes so i had to stay overnight in atlanta (and pay for it _well my compnay paid for it) which resulted in me flying back and forth to minneapolis in 1 day!!

my advice: stay away from delta and the airport in atlanta.

yea! my mom just said the same thing...she said delta combined w/ atlanta airport = HELL. and biz....yea she got a pretty good deal i think on that flight but i mean for them to just give her ticket away and then not put her up in a hotel is horrible. the plane hadn't left yet and my mom was at the gate bitching about her ticket and they were like, "sorry we gave it away you're on your own". that's bad for business im sorry.


anyway, good news...he is able to get on a flight to ohio right now and then it connects to miami but i have to get him in miami at 1:00 in the morning tonight..bleh..then i have to take my mom to the airport in ft.lauderdale at like 5 in the morning...i am not getting any sleep tonight! lol

yah i flew thru Cincinatti, and while that seemed extra ghetto to me, it was prolly the best choice. Delta fucking owns that place and it was smooth as shit! late|
