The whole taking God's name in vain thing is completely misunderstood by todays Christians. What the bible authors are talking about is sticking to deals you make. In the days of the bible, merchants on the street would make people "swear to god" that they would pay for a debt. When they didn't live up to their deal, they were taking the name of the lord in vain. That passage in the bible really has nothing to do with saying fuck or shit.
