The Rules

1. Submit your theme idea, this will be your signup entry. If you don't have any ideas you can still throw your name in the hat.
2. After a month or two, we will end signups and vote on our favorite theme.
3. Once voting is finished, the challenge begins and will last until June 1st, 2020.
4. Listen to the submissions from your fellow challengers and drop in a review!
5. No penalties for not submitting a mix, except our collective disappointment.

My idea is to make a mix for a Road Trip...

To make a mix that encompasses the variety of situations and environments you'll find on a cross country road trip... from the hustle and bustle of the big city, to windy mountain roads, to expansive straightaways, to sleazy rest stops, to middle-of-nowhere resort towns.

All My Mixes!

I like the idea, really. The only thing that gives me pause is that I wonder if suggestions in this vein don't challenge us enough. I would expect that if that theme is chosen we will get a bunch of wonderful and pleasant mixes out of it, but it will be a lot of stuff we are used to. Minor mood swings are usually incorporated in everyone's sets already.

Last challenge was extremely challenging from a number of areas but we all stuck with what we knew. I think I'd want to push us more creatively this time. Play something that you've never played before, really get outside your comfort zone.

I sat and thought about it and wrote down several ideas, some which may or may not challenge us to the degree I mentioned before, but I'd be happy to throw a bunch of shit at the wall to see what sticks. Consider this a sign up:

My suggestion: Afterhours mix, mix with the tracks from the certain year.. Or radio show mix..

2hrs tops. Its pretty hard to find time to listen mixes from the previous challange.

Nobody is signing up, which either points to:
A) the forum being dead
B) fatigue from the last challenge / lack of interest in a new challenge
C) people on this board don't have a lot of time for stuff like this anymore
D) all of the above.

Either way, I've had Stu unsticky the thread and I've added the fancy ASCII title back. Keeping it old school.

I'll give it another month or two for signups and if it's just the 3 of us I might see about cancelling
