what a night...
P-V-D!!!! wow man...i cant believe i finally got to hear this man live. My dream come true. I was at the very front directly in front of him with my good friend VaNFeCto...holy shit ... amazing... as always... solid, seamless mixing by the greatest dj...
i held up my ARCTIC sign when he dropped it and he saw it and smiled! and then at the end after For An Angel.... we held up I FEEEEEL YOU... and after the crowd cheered his name over and over... he dropped his encore track... and it was, of course... Marco V - I Feel You (PvD Mix).... !!!!!!! we made him play it!!! WahOOO!!!!! it felt so great when i heard it come on..... damn what a night.
a quick tracklist off the top of my mind in random order (missing many many tracks i heard for the first time)
Viframa - Cristalle (Katana & Dj Precision Remix)
Katoi - Touch You (Ralphie B Mix)
Paul Van Dyk - Artic/Nothing But You
Solid Sleep - Club Attack (PvD Remix)
Bass Tarts - Summer In Space
Nitromethane - Time To Die (Seraque Remix)
Blank & Jones - Watching The Waves
Klea - Tic Toc (Magik Muzik Mix)(PvD Re-work)
Reeloop - Fucking Society (PvD Re-work)
Three Drives - Carrera 2 (PvD Remix) ?
Underworld - Born Slippy (PvD Re-work)
Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel
encore: MARCO V - I FEEL YOU(PVD MIX)!!!!! thanks to us! hehe!
i wanted GUIDE ME GOD!!!! DAMNIT ! I HAD THE SIGN BUT I DIDNT RAISE IT UP!!!! WHY??? IM SO STUPID!!
he played a somewhat harder set then the stuff i usually hear from his livesets... but i guess he plays differently for America... amazing set nonetheless... but damn i wanted to hear som more stuff i know... or maybe its just i wanted to hear certain songs live...

ya what a show!!! definitly one of the best ones if not the best i've been to in texas. the venue was awsome, huge huge dancefloor and a statdium like seating arrangment farther away from the stage (cool ass sight from there). the fixtures were nice - they had a nice glowing cloth pyrmamid thing and a cool human statue made up from the gridding used to prop the lights, had a cool glow to it too. they had tons of those expenisve 360 degree turning lighting so it added a great atmosphere. the DJ's were awsome. Jeremy Dawson was good as said here although i didnt like the first half of his set... when he got to the more trancey stuff it was AWSOME, finally some stuff to get emotions up and the crowd moving. Scott Bond was superb although one of the turntables was giving him problems, power and sounds quality wise. Dave Aude was good on some of the tracks... most the house songs lacked something for me, but then agian i am more of an olav basoski fan anyways. then PvD, OMG this guy was out of this world. way better then the set he did one year ago in houston. his mixing was flawless and song selection was phenominal, though a bit 'hard'. and i too almost pissed my pants when he played Artic/Nothing But You, that song has some serious ownage power. i felt so privaleged by the end cause he played, born slipper, for an angel, his remix of carrera 2 (which i had never heard before) and then he gave an encore, that in itself is awsome cause i've heard paul does it only to 'deserving' crowds. anyways awsome night. i would like to see many more events like these happen here in texas!

I was definitely satisfied with the arena/location as well. It was pretty well ventilated, parking was decent (found ourselves a good spot) and fortunately with the cold weather, that big ass "garage" door that was opened kept us all cool. Plus they had some small fans goin towards the crowd, and you can't argue having the stands in the back to sit down. Definitely a good night. Honestly, considering it wasn't held at a club, it was pretty well done. I was afraid the normal texas "party" attitude would rub off on it, and that we'd have 20 million kids running around throwin drugs, people overdosing, and shit gettin all fucked up. But I was impressed. Everyone pretty much knew what was going on, who was spinning, what vinyl was being dropped. Something you don't see at your average party.
One track I wanted to hear was mmdc - no more rain (sommer safari), but its alright. Hearing arctic/nothing but you live was good enough.
I definitely want to see some pics. Vanfecto, put em up!
