The ...'classics'?

probably one of the best, especially if you look into the back story of how that solo was created, they told good ol' eddie to play like his mother had died and this was the result of that

many years ago i did a hunt for greatest guitar solos of all time so I'm not going to list the classic ones that always make the list so ill go off the beaten track a bit
steve vai.
a great guitarist who is really full of himself, I mean look at this fucking guy, who makes a video wearing a poncho in a mountain shredding. i think he created a label as well... "Favored Nations was created with the intent of bringing you music that’s energetic and emotional, with performances by artists of the highest caliber.... dedicated breed that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments."
buckethead
dude wears a KFC bucket all the time, do i need to say anything else?
novo combo's welcome innervisions is an honorable mention

encore round cause fuck it
i always thought comfortably numb's solo was cut short in all the released versions, thankfully in 94 they let my mans gilmor do his work and get an extended solo, the only time for floyd to be released
opeth can teach us that even the hardest rockers have a heart of gold with their fucking awesome album damnation
I had one last song I was thinking of but I'm getting fucking old and my memory is going to shit so I forget. all I remember is that it had a really nice melodic triplet arpeggio in it, and I'm pretty sure it was a long ballad song that a metal band did, I wanna say Dream Theatre but I don't know. I'm going to try and find it and if I do ill post it
edit:
found it.
real talk tho, just go listen to post rock or go down the route of listening to a bunch of traffic songs
