Looking back on it, I can't think of another moment in DJ Mag's #1 DJ Poll history that did more damage to its legacy. Not the fact that Guetta won it, oh no. The absolute wet fart of a coronation shone a bright spotlight in how much the poll overhypes its value.

The crowd's silent reaction is how a significant chunk of club-land viewed the poll even then.
